WLI’s Aron Chang publishes an op-ed in the Washington Post on the importance of community-based planning and design as well as the importance of environmental education, both key themes of the Water Leaders Institute.

In the op-ed, he writes that “the city must develop tools, processes and forums that support citizens in becoming the co-authors of climate adaptation plans. [...] Technical experts and citizens alike should be at one table, engaging in fierce debate over the plans that will shape the future of their communities.”

Read the full op-ed and join the discussion.
